# Assigning products to categories

In order to group your products under different categories, ensure that you have created one or multiple categories. Follow the link below for information on creating a new category.

Once you have your categories available and are creating products (or have products already created), you can assign your products to the categories.

**Tip:** You can assign aa product to as many different categories as you need

In order to assign a product to a new category, click on the `Categories` tab on the left while creating or editing a product.

Choose the categories that you want the product to belong to, and click on either the `Create` or `Save Changes` button in oder to save your product against the selected categories.

When viewing your shop, you will now see your products available when viewing the category.
